Our purpose: The members of this group are committed to practicing the 12 Steps as outlined in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. It is our intent to share our experience, strength & hope with those who suffer from the disease of alcoholism & addictions so that we may carry out our primary purpose, to help Alcoholics & Addicts recover through the 12 Steps.
If you are seeking freedom from alcoholism and addiction and a deeper experience with the Twelve Steps, we invite you to join the Salt Lake Big Book Awakening (BBA) Workshop. This workshop offers a clear, practical, and solution-focused approach to recovery by studying and applying the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous as it was originally written using the Big Book Awakening method.
Big Book Awakening is not a new program—it is a return to the original instructions and spiritual principles found in the Big Book. Together, we walk through the Steps in a supportive environment, focusing on experience, honesty, and a spiritual awakening that brings lasting change.
Start Date: January 8th for aprox. 26 weeks
Time: 6-8 PM
Location: Christ United Methodist Church
Enter through the east door
Meeting room is upstairs
All are welcome. No prior 12-step experience is required. The only requirement is a desire to recover.
Participants are asked to bring:
– A copy of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous LARGE PRINT VERSION
– A copy of Big Book Awakening by Dan Sherman
– A ultra fine tip pen, any color.
